Beginners and Ongoing Yoga
Whether you’ve been out of practice for a while or are trying yoga for the first time these classes are the perfect way to gain mastery of the basics. Postures are held and examined, alignment of the body is closely observed and techniques of breathing and moving mindfully are practiced in a supportive environment. Pregnancy Yoga
General fitness and wellbeing are especially important during pregnancy. Moving with awareness as your body changes is an optimal way to stay in shape and in touch with yourself and your growing baby. Many of the common complaints of pregnancy can be alleviated with the gentle stretching and mindful movement practices of yoga. Preparation for birth is enhanced by keeping the body strong and feeling mentally centred and at peace. Pregnancy yoga classes are also an opportunity to connect with other women and share information. Parent and Baby Yoga
For parents with young babies it is even more important to have some self nurturing time and the opportunity to attend classes without separating from your baby. Whether you began yoga in pregnancy, have been doing it for years or are just starting out, the Parent and Baby classes are a relaxing way to regain strength and muscle tone for yourself and also to introduce your baby to mindful movement. Babies up to 9 months or crawling age are welcome and of course we support breast feeding on demand. Some parents choose to participate with baby in a sling while others bring a rug, carry chair, donut or cushion so baby can observe or snooze through the class. Cancer Support Yoga
For cancer survivors, those currently undergoing treatment and their carers these classes are generously supported by the Cancer Council of WA. Gentle yoga helps to build up muscle strength, improve flexibility and encourage peace of mind. Cancer Support Relaxation & Meditation
Mindfulness, visualisation, relaxation and meditation are all well researched and supported areas of complementary care for cancer patients, survivors and those who care for them. Mature Yoga for Over 50’s
A class especially for those who prefer a more gentle approach to yoga. Youth is no obstacle to participation however the class is designed to suit the wise elders who wish to improve strength and flexibility in body and mind. Private Yoga, Yoga Therapy & Ishta Practice
One on one instruction with a focus on balancing your inherent strengths and weaknesses. A series of sessions can be used as Yoga Therapy for injuries or health concerns. With or without health or fitness issues an individualised practice can be developed in the traditional manner. You take home a detailed practice suited to your constitution and lifestyle and either practice in your own time, join a class, or return for refresher sessions when required. Semi-Private Yoga
Couples, families and friends are able to book a series of yoga classes for up to six people at a time to suit you. Enjoy personalised attention and share the experience of yoga with people you know. Kirtan
Join us on the second Sunday of every month to chant Sanskrit mantras. An opportunity to deepen your experience of yoga through music and meditation in a supportive group setting, kirtan is a wonderfully uplifting practice.
